Dragonfish Asian Cafe

In February of 2000, the Year
of the Dragon, Seattle diners were invited to the reincarnation
of one of its favorite dining spots. The Dragonfish Asian Café
opened its doors on June of 1997 as the Blowfish Asian Café.
The "Asian bistro" has been a culinary hit from its
beginning, receiving rave reviews from food critics from Wahsington
State to New York City. Takao Kikuchi, proprietor of the original
café, wanting to grow his concept into other markets
chose the enlightened path of reincarnation as the original
name was not free and clear to use in other markets. In 2001,
the first offspring appeared in Portland.
This cross-cultural restaurant
concept has reinvented some of the most popular dishes from
China, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore and
designed them to appeal to a wide spectrum of guests. Dragonfish's
diverse selection of portion sizes makes it easy to graze
or gorge, a clever concept for a hotel restaurant that serves
many types of appetites at all hours.
